When the LED light strip is used for interior decoration, it is very simple to install because it does not have to withstand wind and rain. Take LED light strips produced by Guanghong Electronics as an example. Each LED light strip has a self-adhesive 3M double-sided adhesive tape on the back. When installing, you can directly tear off the sticker on the surface of 3M double-sided adhesive tape, and then fix the light strip in need. Place it by hand and press it flat with your hand. As for some places that need a corner or are long, what should I do? Very simple, the LED strip is a circuit structure consisting of three LEDs in a series-parallel manner. Each of the three LEDs can be cut and used separately.

Led lights with outdoor installation are more concerned with the waterproof and tight installation of the lamp. The reason why the LED lamp belt is installed in this way is mainly due to the wind and rain. If it is fixed by 3M glue, the 3M adhesive will be reduced for a long time and the LED light strip will fall off. Therefore, the outdoor installation is often fixed by the card slot. The way to cut and connect, the method is the same as the indoor installation, just need to be equipped with waterproof glue to consolidate the waterproof effect of the joint. Then use a special fixed clip, fixed, you can use the electric hammer to open the eye, use plastic expansion tube and screw to fix the clip.

The LED lamp has a general voltage of 12V DC, so it needs to be powered by a switching power supply. The size of the power supply depends on the power of the LED strip and the length of the connection. If you don't want each LED strip to be controlled by a single power supply, you can purchase a relatively large switching power supply for the total power supply, and then connect all the LED lights with the input power supply in parallel (when the wire size is not enough, you can extend it separately). Uniformly powered by the main switching power supply. The advantage of this is that it can be centrally controlled. The inconvenient place is that the lighting effect and switching control of a single LED strip cannot be achieved. The specific method can be measured by itself.

In general, the 3528 series of LED strips have a connection distance of up to 20 meters, and the 5050 series of LED strips have a maximum connection distance of 15 meters. If this connection distance is exceeded, the LED strip is prone to heat, which will affect the service life of the LED strip during use. Therefore, the installation must be installed in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer, should not let the LED lights with overload operation. The third point, the wiring method of the LED light strip (power supply connection) LED light with a general voltage of DC 12V, therefore need to use the switching power supply, the size of the power supply according to the power and connection length of the LED light strip.

The wiring method of the monochrome 5050 SMD LED strip is as follows, distinguishing the positive and negative poles. You can purchase a power supply with a relatively large power supply to make the total power supply. 1) If the light bar is not lit, check whether all the wiring parts of the light bar are reversed, or the welding is reversed. If it is reversed, it can be replaced. If there is no problem with the wiring, check the pad of the welding wire. It is not soldered up, and repair welding is fine.

3) If it is found that the brightness of a certain part of the light bar is obviously dark, such as only 30-40% brightness, there are two possible reasons. First, the light strip may be short-circuited, such as a part of the welding line or a short circuit may be caused by parallel connection with the bus; The output power is not enough or the output voltage is not enough. If the output voltage is 12VDC, the test output voltage is only 7-8VDC, and the power supply can be replaced.
